A Guy Proposed To His Girlfriend With 6 Rings So She Could Pick Out The One She Liked The Most
NYP- Nothing ruins the perfect proposal quite like hating the engagement ring your partner’s picked out. And one man decided to cover all his bases by proposing with six different diamond sparklers — so his bride-to-be could pick her favorite. Dennis Brown II, a model and fitness enthusiast, hired an event planner, stylist, photographer, florist and clothing designer – to make sure everything went swimmingly when he popped the question. And Atara Dallas was treated to six different shapes and sizes of sparklers, eventually choosing a teardrop ring. Dennis also printed an enormous banner, on which he wrote: “Today, on your special day I had the pleasure of putting a smile on your face all day.” “For there is no greater gift that I could think to give you.”
What. A. Move. What an unreal move by this guy. Sometimes someone does something so revolutionary that it’s crazy no one thought to do it before. This is one of those times. This dude walked up to his lady with as many rings as MJ and was like, “Pick one.” That’s how it’s done. I’m not married or even close to getting married (you’re surprised) but a lot of my friends have popped the question recently and I watched them stress out over picking out a ring. It seemed like a problem that couldn’t be solved without telling the girl beforehand you’re gonna propose and having her help you pick out a ring but what’s the fun it that? It ruins the whole surprise. So the only real solution is to rent a whole gang of rings and buy the one she picks. It’s so simple and so genius at the same damn time.
The genius of it goes both ways, too. Showing up with 6 rings is a diabolical test for the woman. It helps the guy decide if he really wants to get married or not. Think about it. Because if the girl looks at all 6 rings and goes, “I don’t like anyone of them” then the guy can say, “You know what, I don’t like you then” and walk away forever. Because you simply cannot marry a woman who looks at 6 beautiful engagement rings and hates them all. That’s a woman is too high maintenance and will never be satisfied. Even if she does hate all of them, she should at least have the decency to say she likes one of them. That’s what a good person would do. Pretend to be happy with something even though you’re not that happy at all. That’s what TV shows and movies have led me to believe about marriage anyway.
